HOUSTON (AP) — PJ Henry scored 21 points as Texas Southern beat Prairie View A&M 93-78 on Saturday night.
Henry went 7 of 17 from the field (5 for 9 from 3-point range) for the Tigers (14-15, 12-6 Southwestern Athletic Conference). Jonathan Cisse added 15 points while going 4 of 11 from the floor, including 4 for 8 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line while they also had seven rebounds and six assists. Deon Stroud went 6 of 11 from the field (3 for 7 from 3-point range) to finish with 15 points.
Javontae Hopkins led the Panthers (10-21, 5-13) in scoring, finishing with 22 points and four assists. Charles Smith IV added 18 points and three steals for Prairie View A&M. Charles Lane Jr. also recorded 15 points. The loss is the seventh straight for the Panthers.
